Tuesday brings plenty of sunshine to Johannesburg and Pretoria, while Cape Town can expect a pleasant day with strong winds building in the afternoon, according to AccuWeather.

Johannesburg: sunny and warm

Johannesburg will see plenty of sun on Tuesday, with temperatures reaching a high of 27°C.

There is no chance of rain or thunderstorms.

Winds will be from the west at 11 km/h, with gusts reaching 28 km/h.

The maximum UV index is 6.0 (High).

Overnight, conditions will remain clear, with temperatures dropping to a low of 9°C. Winds will shift to the northeast at 7 km/h, with gusts of up to 24 km/h.

Pretoria: plenty of sunshine

Pretoria will be slightly warmer, reaching a high of 28°C under plenty of sunshine.

Like Johannesburg, Pretoria is expected to remain dry.

Winds will blow from the west-northwest at 11 km/h, with gusts reaching 30 km/h.

The maximum UV index is 6.0 (High).

At night, skies will remain clear, with the temperature falling to 10°C. Winds will come from the southeast at 7 km/h, with gusts of up to 19 km/h.

Cape Town: sunny but very windy

Cape Town will reach a high of 20°C on Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine.

The forecast describes conditions as pleasant but breezy in the afternoon, with winds from the south-southeast reaching 28 km/h.

Gusts could reach a powerful 63 km/h.

There is no chance of rain or thunderstorms, and cloud cover is expected to be just 3%.

Tuesday night will be mainly clear, with a low of 12°C. Winds will ease slightly but remain strong, blowing from the southeast at 22 km/h, with gusts reaching 59 km/h.
