Johannesburg and Pretoria temperatures climb
Johannesburg is forecast to reach a high of 26°C on Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine throughout the day.
There is no chance of rain or thunderstorms.
Winds will be light, blowing from the southeast at 7km/h, with gusts reaching 24km/h.
Tuesday night will be clear, with temperatures dropping to a low of 9°C.
Pretoria will be even warmer, reaching a high of 28°C under plenty of sunshine.
Like Johannesburg, Pretoria has a 0% chance of rain and thunderstorms.
Winds will be light at 6km/h from the southwest, with gusts of up to 19km/h.
Overnight, temperatures will fall to 10°C, with clear skies. Northeasterly winds of 7km/h are expected, with gusts reaching 17km/h.
Cape Town cooler, with strong winds
Cape Town will see a very different day, with intervals of bright sunshine and a high of just 18°C.
No rainfall is expected.
The big weather factor will be the wind. Winds from the south-southeast are forecast at 13km/h, with gusts reaching a strong 41km/h.
Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low of 11°C.
There is no rain expected overnight, while cloud cover is forecast to increase to 91%. Winds will come from the south at 13km/h, with gusts again reaching 41km/h.
