Members of the Krugersdorp Bowling Club (KBC) made their mark at the Gauteng Open in July, returning with several medals.
KBC spokesperson David Parker said members competed at bowling fields across the province, gaining valuable experience and meeting new opponents.

As far as results are concerned, Desiree Steinhobel won bronze in the women’s singles, while Wilson Malabolo also claimed bronze in the men’s singles. In the women’s pairs, Theresa Price and Steinhobel, as well as Debbie Phillips and Devin de Jong, each secured bronze medals.

KBC’s youngsters also impressed with Leila Snyman winning silver in the U25 singles, Lerato Mpetsi claiming U18 gold after defeating fellow KBC player Charne van Staden, who took silver.
Parker concluded that the achievements show the club is moving in the right direction.
