5 SAns netted in connection with multi-million-rand drug laboratory in Gauteng

A law enforcement team has uncovered a multi-million-rand drug manufacturing laboratory at a farm in Krugersdorp on Thursday.

The team comprises members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) Crime Intelligence and the Hawks.

The police said they have discovered quantities of Mandrax and ecstasy tablets at the suspected drug manufacturing laboratory.

Five South African nationals who were found at the premises have been arrested.

Senior SAPS officers are expected to further assess the facility as investigations are underway.
