FAME Week Africa, in partnership with the Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC), has officially opened applications for the ECDC Project Pitch Platform. The initiative offers filmmakers, producers, and content creators a direct avenue to present their feature films, television series, or documentaries to key industry leaders and funding stakeholders.
Selected participants will be invited to exclusive, closed-door pitch sessions during FAME Week Africa to present their work to representatives from the ECDC and the Eastern Cape Film Investment Fund (ECFIF).
To be eligible, projects must be filmed in, set in, or inspired by the Eastern Cape, with the selection process placing equal weight on narrative quality and local economic contribution. Applicants must demonstrate how their productions will utilize local suppliers, hire regional cast and crew, and authentically represent the province’s culture and heritage.
Applications will remain open until August 14, 2026, and the successful finalists will pitch their projects during FAME Week Africa, which is scheduled to take place from October 28–30, 2026, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
