Limpopo Emergency Services on the scene after bus overturns near Baobab Toll Gate

Emergency services are on the scene of a major accident near the Baobab Toll Gate in Limpopo.

Early reports suggest a bus lost control and overturned on the southbound lane in the Hartley area of the Vhembe District.

Traffic officers confirm the road has been closed, with vehicles being diverted and some motorists forced to use the road shoulder.

Limpopo Department of Transport Spokesperson Mashubu Mabata that said emergency teams and all relevant stakeholders are attending to the incident.

“Motorists are urged to approach the area with caution, reduce speed, and follow instructions from traffic officials. Delays are expected. Unconfirmed injuries have been reported. No fatalities have been confirmed at this stage. Further details regarding the incident will be communicated once confirmed.”
