Two people, including a 10-year-old boy struck by a stray bullet, died following a shooting in Kliptown, Soweto, while police continue investigating the attack and searching for suspects.

A 10-year-old boy and an adult male, who were shot, in Kliptown, Soweto, on Saturday evening, later succumbed to their injuries, while a third is receiving medical treatment in hospital.
Police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko said two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder were being investigated following the incident.
According to her, when officers arrived at the scene, all three victims had already been transported to a medical facility.
Sibeko said preliminary investigations indicated that the 10-year-old was wounded by a stray bullet and declared dead at a local clinic.
The adult male victim later succumbed to his injuries while a 38-year-old male, who sustained injuries, was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The suspects fled the scene allegedly in a white Honda Jazz.
Sibeko said the motive for the attack was unknown and that no arrests had been made.
