3 suspects nabbed for Limpopo comedian Skeem Mafenya’s murder

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of popular Limpopo comedian and content creator Skeem Mafenya.

The 20-year-old, whose real name was Khadziyane Ndivhuwo, was found with multiple stab wounds in Madonsi Boltman B in Malamulele early on Saturday morning.

Police said the suspects, aged between 17 and 23, were arrested just hours after the killing following an intelligence-driven operation.

Limpopo police said they received a report at about 03:35 on Saturday morning of a person lying motionless inside a yard.

Officers arrived to find Ndivhuwo with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.

Emergency Medical Services were called, but he was declared dead at the scene.

It is alleged that a community member heard a knock at the door and, after looking through a window, saw a man bleeding profusely.

The motive for the killing remains unknown.

Provincial police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said, “We commend the swift response by the police that led to the arrest of the three suspects. We will monitor this case closely to ensure that the suspects are held accountable for the senseless killing through the criminal justice system.”

The three suspects are expected to appear before the Malamulele Magistrates Court. They face a charge of murder.
