Vehicles, livestock, inverters, and illicit cigarettes were confiscated in Limpopo Province by the SA National Defence Force

Vehicles, livestock, inverters, and illicit cigarettes were confiscated in Limpopo Province by the SA National Defence Force in just one week. The regiment then ended the week by making it safe for their fellow women soldiers to commemorate Women’s Day in style.

Whilst on foot patrol, Lieutenant Maine and his men recovered a Nissan Navara Pro 2X valued at R924 000.00, which had to be pulled by hand from the Limpopo River near the Madimbo Area of Responsibility.

In the same week, they also confiscated a Toyota Land Cruiser valued at R450 000.00.

Not to be outdone, Lieutenant K.H. Mulamavu and his men, during waylay operations in the vicinity of Musina, confiscated a Toyota Hilux bakkie valued at R450 000.00.

Inspired by these results, Lieutenant Moretti and his platoon conducted waylay operations and confiscated goats valued at R35 000.00 that had been stolen from Zimbabwe and were destined for South Africa.

At Support Base, Sergeant Russell Mabunda and his men confiscated an electric inverter valued at R70 000.00 and illicit cigarettes valued at R85 000.00.

Last but not least, our heroines traded camouflage and boots for elegance to commemorate Women’s Day, a hard-won right by the women before them. So impeccably dressed were the ladies that they could easily have been mistaken for directors and chief executive officers.

Salute to the soldiers of 4 Artillery Regiment, currently deployed under the command of Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo.
