A Journey in Wood Science: From Western Cape to Thessaly

Fostering International Academic Links: SU Forestry and Wood Sciences staff and MSc students participated in an Erasmus+ exchange with the University of Thessaly in Greece to strengthen bilateral research networks. Exploring Next-Gen Biomaterials: The delegation gained technical insights into cross-laminated timber, furniture design, and circular economy innovations like bio-leathers and 3D-printing wood filaments. Blending Research with Cultural Exchange: Alongside presenting guest lectures, the team explored regional landmarks like Meteora and Lake Plastira, deepening international collaboration through cultural immersion.
