10 dead and dozens injured in Limpopo bus crash

JOHANNESBURG – Ten people died and dozens were injured in a bus crash in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo, on Tuesday night.

Reports suggest the bus was travelling from Bulawayo in Zimbabwe to Johannesburg. 

Limpopo government officials say they will begin the repatriation of bodies soon.

Limpopo Transport MEC Violet Mathye said, “Let me take this opportunity and send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the ten people that passed on yester-night and to the country of Zimbabwe as well.” 

“Tomorrow we will be having the final answer because the deputy minister is coming to help us with the repatriation of those people back to their homes in Zimbabwe.” 

“So we are waiting for that to happen tomorrow.”
