22 North West ActionSA members quit

JOHANNESBURG – Twenty-two members of ActionSA in the North West have resigned with immediate effect.

They say their action is due to the party’s intention to purge members who are linked to the Save North West Campaign.

In a statement the group says they were issued with letters of termination of their ActionSA membership.

They claim they were given a few hours to respond to charges against them, and not the three days prescribed by the rules of the party.

The group says they then requested a meeting with North West Provincial Chairperson Kwena Mangope, to no avail.

The members falling under the banner of the Save North West Campaign say they’ll encourage other members to follow in their footsteps and leave the party.
