High fire danger conditions are expected in the Northern Cape, but it will be fine and cool to warm for most of the country, according to the South African Weather Service.

Impact-based warnings:

A. Yellow level 2 warning for damaging waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea, is expected between Lambert’s Bay and Plettenberg Bay.

Fire danger warnings:

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central parts of the Northern Cape.

The weather in your region

Gauteng will be fine and warm. The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

Morning fog patches can be expected in the south-east of Mpumalanga, otherwise it will be fine and warm but cool along the escarpment.

Limpopo will be fine and warm but hot in places in the western Bushveld.

It will be fine and warm but hot in the north-west of the North West.

The Free State will be fine and warm.

The Northern Cape will be fine and cool to warm but hot in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly

Morning fog patches can be expected along the west coast of the Western Cape, otherwise it will be fine and cool to warm but cold in the extreme south-western parts.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly to south-easterly, but fresh along the west coast at times, becoming light to moderate westerly to north-westerly along the south-west coast from the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn index is moderate.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be cloudy with fog patches in the south and west in the morning, otherwise it will be fine and warm.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable in places, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.

The eastern half of the province will also be cloudy with fog patches south of the escarpment in the morning, otherwise it will be fine and warm, but cool in places over the northern high ground.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, reaching fresh to strong in the afternoon.

Morning fog patches are expected over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.

Isolated showers and rain are expected in the extreme north-eastern parts in the morning.

The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly in the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
