THE Mpumalanga government will hold a memorial service for the six pupils who tragically lost their lives on Wednesday, 31 July.
This after their school bus collided with a goods train.
The memorial service will be held at Sikhululiwe Community Hall in Mafube Village on Wednesday, 7 August.

The incident occurred on the R104 road in Mafube Village between Wonderfontein and Arnot. The pupils from Morelig Combined School were on their way home when the incident happened.
Sinenhlanhla Sibanyoni (18), Joseph Mabena (17), Sibusiso Mokoneni (16), Prudence Masina (17), and Nomfundo Sibanyoni (18) died at the scene, while Katlego Majutle (14) succumbed to her injuries in hospital.

Several other pupils were treated for minor injuries; some are still hospitalised, while two learners remain in a critical condition.
A preliminary report released by the Railway Safety Regulator on Monday, 5 August, indicated that the bus driver failed to adhere to road signs at a level crossing.

Education MEC Cathy Dlamini is expected to be part of the memorial service.
