JOHANNESBURG – Gauteng Education says it’s still waiting for an official report from Pretoria High School for Girls.
That’s after the 12 pupils accused of racism were found not guilty.
A three-person panel of the School Governing Body, chaired by an advocate, has ruled on the matter. Â
The pupils were accused of starting a ‘whites-only’ Whatsapp group and sharing racist messages.
Eight of the 12 pupils are prefects and will now be reinstated to their leadership positions.
The school principal remains suspended.
The SGB says it believes the process was conducted with fairness and transparency.
The department however says it will deliberate on steps forward after going through the report.
