Discussion | Community safety budget slashed by over R300 million

JOHANNESBURG – Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has revealed that the province’s  community safety budget was slashed by over R300 million, despite increasing crime in the province. 

Lesufi presented the province’s R2.3 billion budget before the Gauteng Legislature. 

Crime expert, Calvin Rafadi says the budget cut is an act of playing politics.
