The maximum UV Index is rated ‘very high’ at 8 on Saturday and 9 on Sunday and Monday.
Winds will be relatively light, ranging from NNW 13 km/h on Saturday to NNE 7 km/h on Sunday and 11 km/h on Monday. The chance of precipitation remains at just 1% on Saturday and Sunday, rising to 2% on Monday.
Pretoria weather
Pretoria is also in for a warm, hazy weekend.
Saturday and Sunday are both forecast to reach 28°C. Monday will be slightly cooler at 26°C.
The maximum UV Index is ‘very high’, reaching 8 on Saturday and Sunday and 9 on Monday.
There is only a 1% chance of precipitation on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Winds are expected to be N 11 km/h on Saturday, NNE 7 km/h on Sunday and NE 15 km/h on Monday.
Cape Town weather
Cape Town is set for a very different weekend.
Saturday is forecast to be cool and wet, with a high of just 19°C and a 65% chance of precipitation. A couple of showers are expected, mainly early, followed by cloudy conditions in the morning and periods of sunshine and clouds during the afternoon.
The forecast indicates around two hours of precipitation and two hours of rain on Saturday, with SE winds reaching 22 km/h.
Sunday brings a significant improvement, with temperatures climbing to 24°C and only a 4% chance of precipitation. It will be warmer, with sunshine through high clouds, while winds ease to SSE at 9 km/h.
But the cooler, wetter conditions return on Monday.
The temperature is forecast to reach only 19°C, with an 81% chance of precipitation. A brief shower or two is possible, with cloudy conditions in the morning before sunshine filtered by passing clouds in the afternoon.
Monday is expected to have around 2.5 hours of precipitation and 2.5 hours of rain, with NNW winds reaching 19 km/h.
