Dimpane honours slain officers Tlometsane and Sibeko at Limpopo funeral

Acting National Police Commissioner Puleng Dimpane paid tribute to two police officers gunned down in Reiger Park, praising their courage and commitment to duty.  

Dimpane was speaking at the funeral of Constable Thapelo Tlometsane in Zebediela, Limpopo, on Sunday.

Tlometsane and his colleague, Constable Siphiwe Sibeko, were ambushed earlier this month after responding to the sound of gunfire in Reiger Park on the East Rand.  

Alleged notorious local gangster Regan Collis has since been charged with their murders, as well as the killing of two women on the same night.  

Dimpane said the officers paid the ultimate price in service of their communities, adding that their bravery and selflessness should never be forgotten.
