Gauteng police remain on high alert following the nationwide protests on June 30, with several sporadic marches and gatherings reported across the province.
Delville in Germiston remains tense, where protesters forced their way into homes and vandalised property while searching for suspected undocumented migrants.
The latest flare-up occurred yesterday when protesters gathered in Delville and blocked a road.
Police contained the situation with no looting or other major incidents reported.
The Gauteng Joint Operations Committee, which coordinates law enforcement and other security agencies, said that it continues to monitor notifications of possible marches and protests across the province
Authorities said that most reported incidents have been isolated and managed by law enforcement and private security with no significant impact on public safety or the road network.
Police also monitored gatherings in Heidelberg, where a protest dispersed peacefully, and in Boksburg, where demonstrators gathered outside a business before dispersing.
In Germiston South, another group gathered to protest before dispersing without incident, while a demonstration in Lenasia also ended peacefully.
Anti-illegal immigration groups have vowed to continue holding weekly demonstrations until government addresses the issue of undocumented migrants.
