Political parties are competing for votes in the Free State

QWAQWA – The ANC in the Free State is working tirelessly to regain support in Qwaqwa.

The country is facing fierce political competition from new parties in one of its traditional strongholds.

The party’s vice-chairman said it is time to prioritize services to residents.

Ketso Makume, deputy provincial chairman of the ANC Free State, said they are not under threat.

“What threatens us is the issue of service delivery. You know, if people don’t get water, if people don’t get the most intermittent electricity, if people move with their cars on roads with potholes, that’s what threatens us. That’s why we really have to work hard.

“And the changes we have seen in councils should ensure that we work hard to bring about change so that the issue of service delivery becomes a thing of the past.
