More than 120 millimetres of rainfall fell in the Boland town of Ceres on Sunday and Monday, with surrounding peaks receiving several centimetres of snow.

The icy conditions were brought by a cold front that caused widespread disruptions throughout the province.

Significant rainfall was recorded between Sunday and Monday, with Ceres receiving 123mm and Elgin 84mm.
