WEATHER: Rain, strong wind expected in Cape Town on Tuesday as Gauteng enjoys sunshine

Cape Town is expected to see occasional morning drizzle on Tuesday; conditions remain mostly cloudy for the rest of the day, according to AccuWeather.

The city is forecast to reach a high of 19°C. Winds will blow from the south-southeast at 22 km/h, with gusts reaching 48 km/h.

There is a 60% chance of precipitation, with rainfall expected to total 0.7 mm. Cloud cover is forecast at 79%.

Tuesday night will remain partly to mostly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to 14°C. South-easterly winds of 28 km/h are expected, while gusts could reach 59 km/h. The chance of precipitation falls to 2%.

Johannesburg is set for a mostly sunny Tuesday with a high of 20°C.

The city will enjoy bright conditions with only 12% cloud cover and no chance of rain. Winds are expected from the west-southwest at 9 km/h, with gusts of up to 24 km/h.

Johannesburg residents can expect a crystal-clear sky overnight, with temperatures dropping to 7°C. Winds will remain light at 6 km/h.

Pretoria is expected to be the warmest of the three major cities on Tuesday, with a forecast high of 23°C.

The capital is set for plenty of sunshine throughout the day, with just 2% cloud cover and no rainfall expected. Winds will blow from the west-southwest at 9 km/h, with gusts reaching 20 km/h.

Tuesday night will bring a crystal-clear sky and a low of 7°C. Light south-southwesterly winds of 6 km/h are expected, with gusts reaching 17 km/h.
