WEATHER: Gauteng warms up on Friday, Cape Town stays cool and sunny

Johannesburg residents can expect warm, hazy weather on Friday, with temperatures reaching 23°C before dropping to 7°C overnight, according to AccuWeather.

The city’s weather forecast shows dry conditions throughout the day and night, with no rain or thunderstorms expected. Wind speeds will remain light, reaching around 7 km/h during the day and 6 km/h overnight. Cloud cover is expected to stay low at 12% during the day and just 5% overnight.

Pretoria is forecast to be even warmer on Friday, with temperatures climbing to 25°C during the day before cooling to 9°C overnight.

However, hazy conditions and very unhealthy air quality are expected in Pretoria during both the day and night. Despite the haze, weather conditions will remain dry, with no precipitation or thunderstorms forecast. Winds are expected to stay light at around 7 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 20 km/h overnight.

Cape Town will experience cooler but pleasant weather on Friday, with a daytime high of 20°C and a low of 13°C overnight.

The Mother City is expected to enjoy partly to mostly sunny conditions during the day, followed by mainly clear skies overnight. No rainfall or thunderstorms are forecast, while moderate winds of 17 km/h during the day are expected to ease slightly overnight.
