WEATHER: Gauteng faces hazardous air on Wednesday, Cape Town to be cloudy and cool

Residents in Johannesburg and Pretoria can expect mild, dry weather on Wednesday, while Cape Town is forecast to remain cooler with extensive cloud cover and gusty winds, according to AccuWeather.

Johannesburg weather on Wednesday will see temperatures climb to 23°C during the day, dropping to 7°C overnight. Sunshine and some clouds are expected, with no rain forecast. Winds will remain light at around 7km/h during the day.

However, air quality in Johannesburg is expected to be very unhealthy throughout both the day and night. Overnight conditions will become hazy with temperatures feeling closer to 7°C.

Pretoria is forecast to be slightly warmer than Johannesburg on Wednesday, reaching a daytime high of 25°C before cooling to 9°C overnight.

The capital is expected to remain hazy with very unhealthy air quality throughout the day and evening.

Dry conditions will continue, with no thunderstorms or rainfall expected. Light winds and bright conditions are forecast during the day.

Cape Town’s weather on Wednesday will be cooler and cloudier than Gauteng’s.

The Mother City is forecast to reach a high of 18°C with mostly cloudy conditions during the day. Winds could gust up to 35km/h, while cloud cover is expected to remain high.

Cape Town temperatures will drop to 13°C overnight under cloudy skies, with a 25% chance of precipitation. Strong northwesterly winds are expected to continue into the evening.
