Two Suspects Fatally Shot During Clash with KZN Police

DURBAN – Two suspects have been shot dead during a police operation at Chatsworth in Durban.

The men were allegedly in the process of stealing cables and other items from a government building.

A team comprising of DPCI members, Metro Police and Stay On Alert Security followed up on a tip-off about the theft.

Law enforcement confronted the suspects who reportedly pointed their firearms at police. A shootout ensued and both suspects died. A third suspect has been taken to hospital. 

Two guns have been recovered.
