King Misuzulu Applauds New GNU Cabinet Unveiling

DURBAN – Zulu king Misuzulu kaZwelithini has welcomed the Cabinet announcement, describing it as a form of unity. 

Last night, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the cabinet for the 7th administration. 

The new executive comprises members of Parliament from various political parties including the African National Congress, Democratic Alliance, Inkatha Freedom Party, Patriotic Alliance, Pan Africanist Party of Azanai, United Democratic Movement, Freedom Front Plus, Al Jama-ah and the GOOD Party.

The Zulu monarch has praised the coming together of different political parties to form a government.  

He says this reflects stability, continuity and unity in South Africa.  

Just last week, the monarch met the newly appointed KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) executive council – which also consists of different political parties.

The king, who is also the chairperson of the Ingonyama Trust, which controls nearly three million hectares of land in KZN – added that he hopes all issues facing traditional leaders and land reform will be on the agenda of the new Cabinet.
