LIMPOPO – Hoedspruit’s Southern Cross Schools athlete Jordan Prinsloo had a remarkable athletics season and has earned a well-deserved place on the national stage, as she prepares to represent Limpopo at the upcoming national championships.

Record-breaking school season

Jordan has established herself as a dominant force in middle-distance running.

Her performances in the 800m and 1 500m events were exceptional, with both races seeing her set new records at the school’s interhouse meet.

She further showcased her versatility and endurance by clocking an outstanding time in the newly introduced 3 000m event.

For these achievements, she was named Senior Victrix Ludorum.

Provincial dominance at Limsa championships

Her success continued at the Limsa secondary schools track and field championships, where she competed against the province’s top athletes.

In the girls u/19 5 000m event, she delivered a commanding performance, securing the gold medal and breaking the previous record by an incredible 37s.

Selected for Limpopo national team

Following her dominant showing at the provincial meet, Jordan was selected to represent the Limpopo secondary team in the girls’u/19 5 000m event at the national meet.

Her inclusion in the team highlights not only her athletic excellence but also her consistency throughout the season.
