Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions in places over Sarah Baartman, Nelson Mandela Bay Metro and Amathole District Municipalities of the Eastern Cape.

Weather conditions and UVB forecast in South Africa’s provinces

Gauteng

Gauteng can expect partly cloudy and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index is High.

Mpumalanga

Mpumalanga, the Place of the Rising Sun, can expect cloudy in the morning with isolated showers in places over the Western Bushveld, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with rain and drizzle along the escarpment.

Limpopo

In Limpopo, cloudy in the morning with isolated showers in places over the Western Bushveld, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with chances of rain and drizzle along the escarpment.

North West

North West, known as Bokone Bophirima in Setswana, can expect morning fog patches over the eastern parts, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Free State

In Free State, morning fog patches over the eastern parts, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers over the far eastern parts.

Northern Cape

The day will start with morning fog along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with afternoon isolated showers and thundershowers except in the extreme EAST-central parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape

Cloudy along the coastal areas in the morning with fog patches, otherwise fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy over the northern parts with isolated evening showers and thundershowers. It will be cloudy along the south coast from the evening. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate southerly to south-easterly becoming fresh to strong from the afternoon but light to moderate westerly to south-westerly along the south coast.

Eastern Cape

The Western half: Morning and evening fog in places near the coast, otherwise fine and hot. It will become partly cloudy with a chance of isolated interior thunderstorms from late afternoon. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate southwesterly.

The Eastern half: The day will start with morning and evening fog in places near the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and hot. The wind along the coast will be Fresh to strong northeasterly.

KwaZulu-Natal

Morning and evening fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with isolated showers and rain. The wind along the coast will be light south-easterly in the extreme north, otherwise light to moderate easterly to north- easterly, reaching fresh in places.
