A charitable fun run was hosted at St Peter’s Nelspruit on Saturday, March 14, as a way to give back to the community. The event, organised by the SEZ Foundation, focused on raising awareness of mental health and physical well-being.
SEZ Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation that advocates against teenage pregnancy, helps restore the dignity of girls, and focuses on youth and women’s empowerment.

The founder of SEZ Foundation and event organiser, Sezanele Zondi, said the aim of the fun run was to encourage professionals and entrepreneurs to invest in their physical and mental well-being.

“We wanted to create a networking platform and involve the community in what we do as a foundation. All proceeds raised will go to Hlobani Primary School,” Zondi said.
After the race, a programme followed featuring various speakers who addressed topics related to health, empowerment, and community development.

Zondi expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success. “The fun run would not have been possible without the support of our stakeholders, sponsors, and all participants,” she said.
