Limpopo residents are urged to stay away from swollen rivers and dams, as the death toll from the flooding rises to 25.
The province’s Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA) department said that three more people remain missing.
Limpopo CoGHSTA MEC Basikopo Makamu has extended his condolences to the bereaved families.
MEC spokesperson Amos Phago said, “The department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs in Limpopo is deeply saddened by the increasing number of fatalities linked to inclement weather that the province has been experiencing since December 2025. The search and rescue teams are still on the ground conducting operations in various parts of the province where missing people have been reported.”
