Witness F was more than just a cop – he allegedly facilitated secret meetings between senior cops and shady businessman, arranged for a motorbike escort for Matlala to attend a weeding, and also fixed his boat.
He confessed that Matlala paid him R20,000 to arrange a six-motorbike escort for a wedding – but claimed he split the money among his motorbike friends.
Furthermore, he confessed to fixing Matlala’s boat and a jet ski that belonged to a late feared Pretoria taxi boss, Jothan “Mswazi” Msibi, who allegedly raised him.
“At one stage, I had to buy batteries for both the boat and jet ski because they were standing for quite some time and as a result, the batteries got fried.”
Witness F will continue his testimony on Friday.
