Betway Premiership newcomers Orbit College FC have been forced to play their historic first top-flight home fixture away from the North West province.
Orbit, who gained promotion through the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs, will make their official Betway Premiership debut this Saturday afternoon when they take on AmaZulu FC at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu.
Their first home fixture is scheduled for Tuesday, 12 August at Olympia Park Stadium against Siwelele FC. But the club has since announced that they will take that clash to the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.

FARPost has established that the Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg is still facing issues with floodlights. Despite work being done on the facility, it will not be ready to meet the PSL standards by the time they play their first home match.
This publication has further gathered that the 2010 FIFA World Cup Stadium, Royal Bafokeng, is also not available for play due to ongoing renovations at the venue. Although the pitch is in good condition for play, the facility’s roof renovation is not yet complete.

“Orbit College Football Club wishes to inform our valued supporters, partners, and the general public of a change in venue for our upcoming Betway Premiership fixture against Siwelele Football Club,” the club said on Friday.
“We deeply regret that our loyal supporters will not have the opportunity to witness our historic first Betway Premiership home fixture at Olympia Park Stadium. We understand the excitement and anticipation surrounding this occasion, and we share in the disappointment caused by this change.
“The club assures our fans that every effort is being made to ensure we return to playing our home matches at Olympia Park Stadium as soon as it is practical and convenient to do so.
“We appreciate the unwavering support and understanding of our community, and we encourage all who are able to make the journey to Dobsonville Stadium to come and rally behind the team.”
