From Thursday it should be partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in the east, and along the south coast.
Very hot and uncomfortable conditions are expected over the interior of the Namakwa District of the Northern Cape and the West Coast District of the Western Cape.
Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Thursday:
level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in scattered showers and thundershowers, possible heavy downpours, damaging winds, large amounts of small hail and lightning leading to localized flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, minor vehicle accidents and localized damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock are expected along the escarpment of Mpumalanga.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the western parts of the Northern Cape as well as the north-western parts of the Western Cape.

GAUTENG
Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon thundershowers.

MPUMALANGA
Hot in the Lowveld, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the central parts.
LIMPOPO
Very hot in places in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated to scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers, except for the Lowveld and the Limpopo Valley.
NORTH WEST
Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy in the extreme east with isolated showers and thundershowers.
THE FREE STATE
Fine and warm to hot but partly cloudy in the east.
THE NORTHERN CAPE
Morning fog along the coast, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot to extremely hot in the extreme western parts. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
THE WESTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy in the south east with a chance of light rain in the morning, otherwise fine and hot to very hot but cool to warm over the southern parts. Extremely hot conditions are expected over the western parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly along the south coast in the morning, otherwise southerly to south-easterly, becoming strong along the west coast in the afternoon.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy in places in the south, otherwise fine and warm, but cool in places along the coast. A chance of light rain is expected east of Gqeberha. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming south-easterly in the afternoon.
THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Fine in places in the north, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy south of escarpment with a chance light rain from the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be strong south-westerly in the morning, becoming moderate to fresh southerly in the afternoon.
KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm. It will become cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly becoming strong from late morning.
