Botshabelo Police in the Free State are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating the killer(s) of a young woman identified as Tsholofelo Sonia Rowles (23). The victim’s body with stab wounds, was discovered on Saturday, June 22, near the Kaizer Sebothelo Stadium in Botshabelo.

This was said by Sergeant Sinah Mpakane, spokesperson for the provincial police Yesterday, Monday June 25, the victim was positively identified by the family. She said a passerby who came across the body in an open field alerted police on Saturday. “Rowles is from Turflaagte in Bloemfontein. Her mother said she last saw her on Saturday, June 22, when she said she was visiting her friend but never returned.”

She was identified with clues, light in color, with one gold front tooth. She pulled her hair back in a ponytail and wore black tights, a purple floral dress with blue Adidas tekkies and a blue Adidas top with a zipper in the front.

She said Boithuso police arrived at the scene around 9pm after being alerted.

“Upon arrival, members found the body of a woman in a pool of blood. She suffered three stab wounds to the neck, which appeared to have been inflicted with a sharp object, such as a knife,” said Mpakane.
