Durban – Kwazulu -Natal Authorities are on a high alert because the province is scrapping for a potentially devastating summer.
The SA weather service has warned about above-average rainfall, which considerably increases the risk of widespread floods.
A weather warning of level 4 has already been published this week for parts of the province, with the threat of thunderstorms, strong wind and landfuns.
These conditions, which have led historically to loss of life and major damage to infrastructure and property in KZN, is expected to be a recurring characteristic of the coming season.
