Members of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Free State have gathered outside the Court of Kroonstad Magistrate in the free state, where An 80-year-old man will appear.
The man admitted on camera to kill someone and bury the body on his farm.
He told the media in a recording SABC -Tieuws Is in possession that he had killed before and would kill again if he were attacked on his farm.
The suspect is accused of murder and beats the ends of justice.
The man is the grandfather of another person accused of killing and burying a body in a shallow grave on the farm.
EFF -place -replacement provincial chairman Thomas Macingwane says they want the court to deny him bail.
Macingwane says: “If EFF we are here today at the court of Kroonstad Magistrate, we are here to ensure that the perpetrator does not get a bail because today is his bail request. The man is a danger to society and he must remain in custody until the trial.”
Provincial police spokesman Motantsi Makhele says: “Yesterday (Tuesday) evening the farmer was taken in custody, an 80-year-old man. There may be other arrests because we believe that the case is not only one person.”
Makhele adds: “So because we pick it up from our investigation that another forensic part of investigations is that still has to be completed, we will let that happen, but we believe that this case will be in court today, and that there may be other extra suspects, or a suspect who is added to it.”
