Following the closure of many of their dealerships earlier in 2025, Volvo South Africa has announced it is opening a new dealership in the Eastern Cape in partnership with Tom Campher Motors.
Volvo’s new full-service dealership, located in Gqeberha’s Moffett Retail Centre, is scheduled to open in October 2025. Tom Campher Motors, a long-standing partner of Volvo South Africa, will operate the dealership to deliver sales and aftersales support. The new dealership will be supported by a vehicle carrier service from George to East London.
Following the closure of several dealerships in South Africa earlier in 2025, the decision to open a new dealership in this province will expand the brand’s local footprint. Tom Campher Motors is one of four motor retail groups that will continue to stock Volvo cars across the country.
The new facility will be built in line with Volvo’s latest global dealership standards. Volvo says the dealership will offer a warm and contemporary space for Eastern Cape customers, and have a human-centric approach to design and service. Volvo’s Eastern Cape dealership will offer new and pre-owned vehicle sales, servicing, parts support, as well as a vehicle carrier.
