CAPE TOWN – The City of Cape Town says it’s ready to coordinate relief efforts as cold, wet, and windy conditions are expected to hit the region this Thursday.
The South African Weather Service has issued a yellow level 4 warning for severe weather, including disruptive rainfall, across parts of the Western Cape from this Thursday through Sunday.
Authorities warn the heavy rains could lead to localised flooding and property damage, urging residents to exercise caution.
This comes as the province is still reeling from last week’s downpours, which left several informal settlements across the Western Cape underwater after two days of relentless rain.
