This youth month, 30 young people in the Free State, received their certificates for completing a six -month -old an extensive training program for repairs of mobile phones.
The certification ceremony took place on 20 June in the Phillip Sanders Resort in Bloemfontein in collaboration with the Free State Department of Economic Development and Tourism (Besta), National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA), Vaal University of Technology).

Besta MEC Ketso Makume has explained collaborations with the private sector Giving the department a platform to increase young people. These initiatives are aimed at responding to the urgent challenges of youth unemployment.
“This is in accordance with the wider efforts of the department to capture young people and SMMEs to become self -employed with the help of the knowledge, skills and resources provided to them,” Makume said.
Participants with subordinated backgrounds were trained for six weeks and received the following:
- Certificate of competence
- A repair tool kit and tablet of mobile phones
- Help with registering a company
- Extra one week, start your business training by Nyda
