FS Asbestos Corruption Trial CVs in court without cholota

Bloemfontein – The asbestos corruption process will be resumed on Wednesday morning in the Bloemfontein High Court, but with a less accused of the indictment.

The former secretary of the former prime minister of the free state of Ace Magashule, Moroadi Cholota, will no longer be confronted with accusations of corruption in the case after the court had destroyed its extradition from the United States (US).

In a judgment on Tuesday, the application from the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to the American authorities to transport Cholota back to South Africa has been shown illegal and unconstitutional.

After months of reading in the cold and stiff banks in court with thinking about her future while she was confronted with accusations of corruption, Cholota is likely to watch the procedure of Wednesday from the comfort of her own house.

Cholota was initially drawn into the case as a witness of the state before prosecutors accused her in what she said that a witch hunt was against Magashule.

The state in the asbestos corruption process will have to argue against Magashule and 16 others without cholota as a witness or as an accused.

“The persecution team has admitted, and you must give them the honor for this. It is clinical to admit as a legal officer of the court – that is a demonstration of sincerity, bona fide and integrity of the follow -up team,” said NPA National spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga.

He said this loss would not have an influence on the main test.
