The traffic flow has resumed the N3 in the free state, a few hours after a truck driver protest on Monday morning.
The N3 -Tolroute was hit in both directions near the road/Reitz exchange in the free state. The reason for the protest is unclear.
Police spokesperson without Mmako Mophiring said that the police found stationary trucks on both sides of the road, indicating the drivers that they did not have the keys. When they started calling tow trucks to remove the vehicles, the drivers started moving their trucks.
Thania Dhoogra, COO of N3TC, confirmed that the road in both directions has been re -open to traffic.
“For motorists we appreciate your patience and understanding and the efforts of our partners of the Wegbreinmanagement system that helped solve the situation.”
