Cold fronts to test power grid to the max this week, warns Eskom’s Marokane

Eskom CEO Dan Marokane says the power utility’s coal fleet, along with peaking plants that run on diesel, will have to meet electricity demand this week, as the inclement weather means the power system won’t be able to draw on solar PV and wind.
