JOHANNESBURG – Authorities are urging motorists to prioritise road safety this Easter weekend.
Major routes across the country are already experiencing a surge in traffic volumes.
One such route is the Bakwena Toll Route.
It includes the N1 from Tshwane to Bela-Bela, and the N4 from Tshwane to the Botswana border.
Solomon Kganyago, Chief Operating Officer of the Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concessionaire, said traffic peaked at 3pm on Thursday.
“We expect heavy volumes to go right up until early Friday afternoon,” he said.
