Bruss’ fight for dog is deadly on Warden Farm – LNN – Network news

A man is dead and his brother, 29 years old, is behind bars after the two reportedly got into a fight for an injured dog on Sunday.

Free State Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmmako Mophiring says that the Harrismith Police was called to a local hospital around 3:45 am, where two men were admitted after a violent fight. They both live on the same farm in the Ha-Mafutha Farm District in Warden.

Mophiring says that the suspect accused his brother of injuring his dog, which resulted in the fight. In the process, one brother was put into the head and the upper arm with a sharp object, while the other was beaten with a stick that caused his one hand injured.

The brother who sustained the stab wounds was still conscious when he arrived in the hospital, but succumbed to his wounds while he was treated. As a result, the second brother was arrested and accused of murder.

He will appear today in the court of the Warden Magistrate.

*Although the police have announced the name of the deceased, he cannot yet be mentioned because it could identify his brother who did not appear before the court at the time of publishing.
