Days before newly elected Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi announced his new cabinet, the ANC is still calling on parties to join its provincial government of unity (PGU).Â
Although the party has not disclosed who will be included in Lesufi’s new cabinet, which is set to be unveiled in the coming days, if the first sitting of the Gauteng legislature is anything to go by, Lesufi’s cabinet could comprise representatives from a variety of parties.Â
In a surprise move, the MK Party signalled its intent to be in the government when it seconded the nomination of speaker Morakane Mosupyoe.
