LIMPOPO – The Accident and Incident Investigations Division (AIID) of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is investigating an aircraft accident in Thohoyandou on Sunday morning (March 23).
According to reports, a pilot and two passengers were on board a Jabiru J430 aircraft (Registration: ZU-MJM) in a private flight from the Nandoni Airfield in Thohoyandou to Louis Trichardt’s Airfield (Makhado).

The accident occurred approximately 23km’s east of the Nandoni Airfield when the aircraft failed an emergency landing.
The AIID says the cause of the crash will be investigated and its findings published on the SACAA website within 30 days from the incident.
“An investigator was dispatched to the scene,” their statement read.
All three occupants sustained serious injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals in Louis Trichardt and Polokwane for medical treatment.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
