Border loses Nonelela Yikha to Mpumalanga

Nonelela Jikha, a seasoned batsman with 21 first-class caps and a century to his name, has made a switch to Mpumalanga for the 2024-2025 South African domestic cricket season. Jikha previously played for Border. Mpumalanga also secured wicketkeeper-batsman Musa Twala, who has experience with the Titans and South Africa Emerging team. The new head coach, Mbasa Gqadushé, aims to strengthen the squad by retaining seamers Gareth Dukes and Jon Hinrichsen, while introducing all-rounders Alex Cook and Gregory Mahlokwana. Mpumalanga competes in division two of the domestic league and struggled last season, finishing at the bottom with only one win.
