“He was found in possession of a silver and black Taurus pistol, a pistol magazine with two live rounds of ammunition, a brown balaclava and a Samsung Galaxy phone,” police said. Hawks spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale.
The other three suspects involved in the same case, Marasane Kabelo Anmony, 27, who was arrested in Makgalaneng village last Thursday and appeared before the Puthaditjhaba court on Friday, is charged with murder and robbery.
The case against him was adjourned until Friday to join his co-accused from Lesotho, Pakiso Lethako, 32, who was arrested on bail application last Wednesday. The third suspect, Lakaje Piet Thetha, 53, appeared before the same court for the first time on Monday.
The 29-year-old is expected to appear in the Puthaditjhaba court on Wednesday.
