The EFF plans to bring the motion forward and hopes for support from the DA, Freedom Front Plus, and some ANC members to ensure its passage. According to Botswe, Maape’s continued leadership is detrimental to the province, and immediate action is necessary to prioritize the residents’ needs. He firmly believes that Maape’s term should not continue due to the pressing infrastructure issues at hand.
