The body of a man, presumably the missing skipper Pierre Lotter, was discovered near Melkbosstrand. National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) spokesperson Craig Lambinon confirmed that the body is believed to be that of 23-year-old Lotter from Kathu in the Northern Cape. Formal identification procedures are underway, involving the family, South African Police Services, and the government’s Forensic Pathology Services.
